I can’t find a single website November 30, 2007

Well at least I find the website I want 50% of the time and I’ll give up after 11 minutes of trying. That was the just of an article that I read the other day of witch I can’t remember the title or author. I wish I had the article to reference it here, but you know what who cares?

Think about it how often do you search and search and still find nothing that comes close to what you really need. Any search engine is just a screen scrape in an unformatted format, with the exception of the URL. The search return 11 billion kazillion webpages, but after the first page or two, it appears that most of the stuff it found is complete jiberish. How long would you stay friends with someone that told you about the crap that search engines deliver? I would say about have the time of my last search, sure it was fast, but so was my last blink. Who cares? I want quality, ask me a few question done you remeber I was looking for places to stay near disney, so now when I search for disney tickets, DON’T tell me what time peter freakin pan is playing at the local theater. Why would I want to go see a movie when I’m making travel plans? Did you think I want to learn about flying using pixie dust and the movie would give me some good research material? Did you? Where you listening when I typed “Orlando,fl hotels” or do you think I’m trying to trick you, Mr Search Engine?

The next time you go searching for something just remember the clock is ticking and you only have a total of 11 minutes and your DONE. Search engines will stop this madness when people realize that there is a better way. Using context searches, and understanding the users on the other side of the keyboard, until then be prepared to get useless junk really fast.
